Cubs and Beavers from First Hook went to Bentley Copse to celebrate 100 years of scouts using the site.

They joined troops from Guildford, Farnham, Bramshill, Purley, Hayes and Belmont to take part in more than 50 different activities, including archery, abseiling, a cave maze and quad biking.

County commissioner Joe Rogerson said: “The site has been here for 100 years already, and has had Scouts camping on the same field being taught skills for life."

Scouting began in 1907, and now has 573,000 children as members - more than the number of people living in Luxembourg.
