Thai restaurant Giggling Squid is to open in Kingston in the former Jamie's Italian site in the High Street.
It will have seat about 120 diners, and will also have a bar area for pre-theatre drinks, and is hoped to open in autumn 2018.
Pranee Laurillard, founder of Giggling Squid said: “We’re delighted to have secured this property in the heart of Kingston, having eaten here a lot on shopping trips in the past. It’s a really convenient spot for car parks and the theatre and we have some really fun ideas for the interior.”
This will be the second Giggling Squid in London, following the Wimbledon opening in November 2017.
The growing chain also has restaurants in nearby Esher and Reigate, as well as around the country.
