Elmbridge Borough Council remains under no overall control despite Conservative Party gains.

One seat in each ward was up for grabs when voters went to the polls on May 3.

Conservative gains in Walton Central, Esher, Molesey East and Hersham Village (against a Liberal Democrat gain in Weybridge Riverside) mean the Lib Dems and residents associations have 24 councillors in total - a figure now matched by the Tories.

The Conservative Party won 10, the Liberal Democrats 3, and Molesey Residents' Association, Hinchley Wood/Weston Green Residents' Association and Thames Ditton/Weston Green Residents' Association won one apiece.

Thames Ditton was held by the Liberal Democrats by just eight votes.

Vote shares were as follows:

Conservatives - 46.1 per cent

Liberal Democrats - 16.1 per cent

Labour Party - 10.6 per cent

Molesey Residents' Association - 5.7 per cent

Hinchley Wood/Weston Green Residents' Association - 4.8 per cent

Thames Ditton/Weston Green Residents' Association - 4.3 per cent

The Walton Society - 2.6 per cent

Weybridge and St George's Independents - 2.4 per cent

Esher Residents Association - 2.3 per cent

Hersham Village Society - 1.7 per cent

Green Party - 1.6 per cent

Ukip - <1 per cent

Independent - <1 per cent

Official Monster Raving Loony Party - <1 per cent

Turnout was 37.3 per cent.
