Drop in to discover how Tesco will improve town

Drop-in sessions will be held for Tolworth residents to have their say on Tesco's report into the area and plans for a superstore and residential development.

Three sessions will be held at Your Move in the Broadway, from 11am to 1pm on August 16, August 30 and September 13.

It will mark the end of the first phase of the consultation with the community, which started with a working group discussing the future of Tolworth.

Tesco has released a report on the group's findings, is consulting on that and will use people's thoughts in a design brief for a new plan. That design brief will go before the working group before another planning application is submitted to Kingston Council.

Tesco's corporate affairs manager James Wiggam said: "These sessions will be open to all residents, whether they are part of the working party or not.

"We have had lots of feedback on the report and this is being incorporated into a final version. The whole process has given us a great insight into the aspirations of the community and how Tolworth can be improved."
