A baby gorilla has been born at Chessington World of Adventures.
Keepers are yet to find out the sex of the baby in order to give it a name.
Western lowland gorillas (Latin name gorilla gorilla gorilla) are the smallest subspecies of gorilla, but if the baby is male it could grow to weigh up to 440 pounds in adulthood.
They are critically endangered in the wild, with an estimated 60 per cent of the population having been killed by poachers and disease in the last 20 to 25 years.
