Residents from all around Kingston came together to celebrate Holi, the Hindu festival of colours which marks the beginning of spring.
It was a vivid affair with plenty of coloured powder and liquids thrown about, symbolising a new start for Hindus to end conflicts and forgive and forget.
The event was organised by borough residents Surbhi Agrawal and Shraddha Hemnani, who have been organising various Indian cultural events in the borough for past four years.
The cold weather and snow did not dampen anyone’s spirit and the event was attended by more than 100 people.
St Mark's Ward Councillor Yogan Yoganathan attended and lit the fire for ‘Holika Dahan’ pyre marking victory of good over evil.
