Ever wondered where to get a stranger's outfit but never had the guts to ask them?

Croydon's Centrale and Whitgift shopping centres have created an innovative new app, Style Seeker, for shoppers to find out where to buy that mystery outfit.

Consumers today are more likely to buy online and are spending less in shops. The app is here to combine technology and the in-store shopping experience.

The app user can take a photo or upload a saved image and the app will locate similar items at retail stores in the Centrale & Whitgift centre.

The app searches by colour shape and patterns, once the user has selected the desired product, the app then provides a map that guides the user to the store.

The tech tool is available through the Centrale & Whitgift PLUS app and also across all Hammerson shopping centres from the South coast to the highlands.

The app is tailored to give the customers the best, stress-free shopping experience.

The development comes after a survey which shows that it is the smartphone predominantly used to searching information on the go.

Style Seeker will be rolled out across all Hammerson shopping centres within PLUS for iOS and Android users to download for free from October 15.
