St George’s Weybridge is on the way to getting a new climbing wall after a donation of £1,175 from social network Classlist.

Classlist co-founder Clare Wright, together with Grant Letts of Curchods Estate Agents and Ceri Richardson of Brooklands Hotel, presented a cheque to St George’s College Headmistress, Rachel Owens, and St George’s Junior School Headmaster Antony Hudson.

Classlist is a large private social network for school parents- it is free to users and supported by local sponsors.

Kelly Walsh, from the schools’ Parents’ Association, said: “Classlist has helped to build a close-knit and engaged parent community at St George’s and it is fantastic being able to use it to raise money for the school by introducing sponsors.

“Today’s cheque will kickstart our drive to fund a climbing wall for the new Activity Centre which will be opened in 2019 to coincide with the 150th Anniversary.”

Grant Letts, Managing Partner at Curchods Estate Agents said: “Curchods are delighted to be working with both St George’s and Classlist.

“The money raised is an extremely meaningful amount and any PTA would find the fundraising tool extremely beneficial.”

Ceri Richardson, Head of Business Development at Brooklands Hotel said: “We are thrilled to play a part in fund raising for St George’s Weybridge.

“Classlist has enabled us to raise the profile of Brooklands Hotel within the parent community at St George’s and we look forward to continuing a successful partnership.”
