The Thames hosted 275 races over the weekend at the annual Kingston Regatta.
The races, which have run since 1857, were organised by Kingston Rowing Club.
Kingston Mayor, councillor Julie Pickering said: “What a fantastic weekend on the riverside, one of our Royal Borough's best assets.
“It was great to see so many rowing clubs from across the South of England taking part and Kingston Rowing Club winning the overall award was a perfect end to a great day.
“Seeing CNM Estates supporting the event to enable more grassroots level rowing was fantastic. It's my hope that many more local companies get behind our future community events in the borough.”
The Mayor said she was “delighted” to see Gloriana, the Queen’s royal rowbarge, take part in the event.
She added: “Kingston riverside has been chosen to moor the boathouse, with proposals currently being drafted within a wider riverside planning document. The future for the river is hugely exciting and I look forward to seeing what's to come.”
Kingston Rowing Club claimed the top prize over the weekend by winning the Victor Ludorum.
