The Walton Farmers’ Market returns this Saturday, July 1, bringing with it the ‘taste of the Mediterranean’.

This time, the newest addition to the already international line-up is The Sicilian Kitchen.

Owner Felicia was taught to cook by her Sicilian grandmother at a young age, and learnt about the range of flavours in the cuisine’s distinctive comfort food.

Her speciality is arancini – balls of risotto rice stuffed with various fillings, coated with breadcrumbs and deep fried.

Also in her range are risotto, chutneys, antipasti and desserts, and they cater for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.

Manager of the Heart Shopping Centre, where the market is held, Mark Middleton says: “I’m delighted to welcome another award-winning vendor to the centre, adding an even greater international flavour to our Farmers’ Market line-up. I will be heading straight to The Sicilian Kitchen on July 1 to try some of their delicious arancine!”

The market is open from 9.30am to 2pm.
