Kingston Adult Education has kept its ‘good’ Ofsted rating in a recent report.

Highlighted were the positive culture in the service and the staff targeting learning towards local priorities like health and wellbeing.

Ofsted also mentioned good outcomes for students: “The large majority of learners across provision types complete their courses and achieve their qualifications successfully. Overall, learners achieve at higher rates than those at similar providers.”

Councillor Andy Johnson-Creek, cabinet member with responsibility for education at Kingston Council, said: “I’m delighted to hear that Kingston Adult Education has achieved an across-the-board ‘good’ rating. This is down to the hard work of our excellent adult education staff and, of course, our learners.

“However, we’re not complacent. We’ll be taking Ofsted’s guidance and incorporating it within our plans for KAE to further improve our offer and ensure that KAE’s future is bigger, brighter and better than ever.”
