A woman has been ‘hit by a baseball bat’ outside Marks and Spencer in Clarence Street, Kingston.
Police were called at 1.30pm today (June 23) to reports of a fight taking place, and a spokesman for the Met confirmed a woman was hurt, but her condition was ‘not serious’.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and he remains in custody at a south west London police station.
Witnesses reported a man attacked the woman with a baseball bat, and photographs from the scene show officers placing a broken bat in a container.
