A motorbike has reportedly been stolen outside an East Molesey bike shop

Police say two riders approached Neil’s Wheels in Walton Road at around 3pm on Saturday (June 17) on a black moped.

The passenger then reportedly took a Honda motorbike that was parked on the pavement, and the two rode off.

While turning on the pavement, police say the rider of the moped nearly collided with a man and two children, before turning down Matham Road onto Bell Road.

Surrey Police is appealing for information about the incident and anything that might help identify the riders.

One is described as 5ft 3, small frame and skinny build, tanned white skin, black eyebrows and bright blue eyes, wearing a black full-face helmet with a balaclava and all black clothing.

The second is described as 5ft 3 and of medium build, wearing a white helmet and balaclava, a white tee shirt and blue baggy shorts.

Investigating officer PC Kyle Wilkins said: “I am interested in hearing from anyone that may have witnessed this incident, particularly the man who was with two children and was nearly hit by the moped rider.

“Likewise, if you recognise the descriptions of either of the suspects, or think you know the whereabouts of the stolen motorbike, please call us on 101 quoting crime reference 45170064267.

“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you have information but don’t want to leave your name.”
