A woman has been injured after an attempted robbery in Surbiton this morning.
Police were called to Victoria Road at 9.38am after it was reported two men on a moped attempted to snatch a chain from the woman’s neck.
The victim, who is in her 50s, suffered injuries to her neck and arm, and was seen by London Ambulance Service after members of the public went to her assistance.
A knife was discarded at the scene, but there are no reports of it being used to injure the victim.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police enquiries continue.
