St Andrew’s Oxshott is delighted to announce the appointment of the Revd Frances Trickey, who was officially installed on Tuesday 25 April by the Rt Revd Dr Jo Wells, Bishop of Dorking.

Over 200 people attended the collation service, at which representatives of the community gave their formal welcomes. These included The Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Tannia Shipley; the local Scouts and Guiding Associations; local schools; the Mothers’ Union; local church leaders from all denominations, as well as others from within St Andrew’s church.

Frances was ordained in Wells cathedral in 2011 after a teaching career mainly in secondary schools in London and Surrey. For the past seven years she has been the Associate Minister in a parish of two churches in Nailsea, south of Bristol. Frances moves to Oxshott with her husband Jolyon, a former barrister, who became a parish priest himself over 26 years ago, and they have two adult children.

Frances says: “As the new vicar of St Andrew’s Oxshott, I am very moved by the warm and positive welcome that Jolyon and I have experienced. It is a privilege to lead the church in Oxshott and I am passionate that everyone should have the opportunity to hear and respond to God's love for them. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the coming weeks, either in church, at school or out in the community. Hopefully, I can give you as warm a welcome as you have given me.”
