Putney High School has announced the appointment of a new head of the Junior School.

Pippa Daverson, who is director of innovation and learning at Kensington Prep School GDST, will begin her new post in September.

In her ten years at Kensington Prep School GDST, Ms Daverson has also held the posts of director of studies and head of English.

A spokesperson for Putney High School said: “Ms Daverson shares the Putney High ethos of academic excellence alongside outstanding pastoral care.

“She is committed to instilling a love of learning in all pupils in an environment which nurtures and stimulates intellectual curiosity, creativity and innovation.

“Ms Daverson lives locally to the school and is looking forward to working with colleagues, pupils and parents.”

Ms Daverson’s previous roles include head of junior English at the Harrodian School, Barnes.

She began her teaching career at Rowdown Primary School, Croydon, before moving to Kingswood Prep, Bath.
