Police swarmed a house in Fontarabia Road yesterday (April 9) following reports of man with a gun.
Officers, including firearms officers and the National Police Air Service, were at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "The man was arrested at approximately 1:20pm on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
"He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
"There are no reported injuries. No shots were fired.
"The incident is not terrorist related."
