Police are hunting for a man who allegedly approached schoolgirls in Kingston and asked them for sex.

CCTV footage has been released by detectives following the alleged incidents, which happened in Three Bridges Path, Middle Mill and Mill Street on January 11.

The man approached schoolgirls and women and showed them indecent images on his mobile phone before asking for sex, police said.

Police were called at about 5.45pm, and recovered CCTV from the nearby university campus from later in the day.

It showed a man matching the description given to officers approaching women and following them.

No reports of sexual assault have been made.

PC Nik Stilliard, investigating officer from Grove Ward neighbourhood policing team, said: “We are keen to identify this man’s whereabouts.

"We received several reports from the area of a man approaching and harassing young women asking them for sex.

“He tends to show images on his phone to initiate a conversation with them.”

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, 6ft tall with green/blue eyes, dark curly hair and was wearing a purple striped fleece with his sleeves rolled up.

No arrests have been made.
