A paedophile who was previously spared jail has been found guilty of a string of sexual offences against children.

Kevin Hollingshead, 54, was found guilty by a jury of nine women and three men by majority verdict on Tuesday, February 14 at Kingston Crown Court of 16 counts against underage girls.

These included intentionally causing or inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, making and distributing indecent photographs of a child and communicating knowlingly with a person under 16 on the internet.

Hollingshead, of Portland Avenue, New Malden, also breached a 24-month suspended sentence.

He was caught with 600 indecent images of children in his home in 2014 but was spared jail. The videos were the most extreme kind.

Images found included an adult female giving oral sex to a horse and a woman having sex with a dog.

Hollingshead had also engaged with children online asking them to play "strip Twister".

He was let off because he had no previous convictions or warnings and it was believed prison could make him more likely to reoffend.

In 2014, his defence counsel Hayley Brickel said: "This is somebody who is going to be monitored by the authorities for a very, very long time.

"Mr Hollingshead is very sorry for what he has done. He would never repeat such actions."

Hollingshead is due to be sentenced on Friday.
