A Kingston University student has died after being attacked by a gang and stabbed near South Harrow Underground station.

Hussein Ahmed, 19, from Edgware was riding his bike near the Kebabish takeaway, in Northolt Road, Harrow, when he was attacked on Friday, November 18.

He was taken off life support on Wednesday, prompting the Metropolitan Police to launch a murder investigation.

It is believed Mr Ahmed was attacked by a group of men, all described as black and believed to be aged in their teens or 20s.

A second victim, a 17-year-old boy, was also taken to hospital following the attack but was discharged with a minor stab wound.

Four arrests were made on Monday - all teenagers in their late teens or early twenties – and have been bailed until early December pending further enquiries.
