Surrey’s bomb squad carried out a controlled explosion at Weybridge’s Amazon depot on a suspicious package that turned out to have been an electric blanket.
Officers were called to Vickers Drive at about 11am yesterday following reports of a suspicious package inside the depot.
The building was cordoned off until 4pm when bomb disposal officers carried out a controlled explosion on the package, a Surrey Police spokesman said.
Officers later revealed they believe the package contained an electric blanket.
