The fisherman whose body was found in the River Thames near Walton on July 28 has been named as Scott Wilkinson.
Mr Wilkinson's body was found after concerns were raised about a missing person at the end of last week.
His death was being treated as unexplained and Surrey Police subsequently launched a murder investigation.
A post-mortem examination concluded the cause of death as a result of trauma to the head.

In a short statement, Mr Wilkinson's family, said: "Scott, a son, brother, father and grandfather was dearly loved and will be truly missed by all of his family and friends."
His family continues to receive support from Surrey Police.
