Favoured pubs, beloved barber shops and independent stores will be celebrated once more in this year’s Kingston Business Awards.
More than 50 companies will compete to be named Kingston’s best business at an awards dinner at the Holiday Inn, in Portsmouth Road, on Thursday, October 13.
Famous institutions such as Banquet Records, Surbiton’s Fellowship Barber Shop and riverside pub the Boater’s Inn are among the nominations.
Categories include Best Business for Food and Hospitality, Independent Retailer of the Year and Best Charity or Social Enterprise.
London Ambulance Service has also been nominated for its “commitment to the community”.
The businesses, chosen by an independent adjudicator, will now be interviewed at a judging day on September 13.
