RESIDENTS will once again get the chance to quiz Kingston councillors on growth and regeneration in the latest series of public talks.

The latest round of Kingston ‘conversations’, workshop-style events during which residents can voice their concerns, will discuss the provision of schools, homes, leisure facilities and transport in the light of reduced government funding.

On the table will be the new Kingston local plan, Crossrail 2 and the mini-Holland cycling project, dubbed Go Cycle by Kingston Council.

A public consultation into new phases of the scheme was launched last week.

Council leader Kevin Davis said: “Kingston’s population is set to increase by 10 per cent by 2035. We need to plan for this growth, making sure it’s appropriate.”

Events will be held at:

  • Southborough High School, Surbiton, July 19, at 7pm
  • Richard May Centre, Kingston, July 20, at 7pm
  • Glenmore House, Surbiton, July 23, at 11am
