A Kingston University student who sold her car to pay for breast augmentation has said the implants have not made her feel “any more attractive.”

While most students are scrimping and saving for rent or spending their loans on big nights out, Miranda Forsyth has traded in her beloved Fiat 500 to pay £4,500 increasing her A-cups to double Ds.

The third-year business student and part-time model says she does not regret the surgery, but it has not made her feel better about the way she looks.

She said: “I don’t feel more attractive since the surgery. It is hard to explain really. I love my new boobs but don’t think other people see me as better looking because of them. I can’t recommend it to other people. You just have to do what’s right for you.”

Miss Forsyth had saved up to buy her £12,000 car three years ago, but got just £6,500 for it when she sold it in September.

She was booked in for surgery the very next week.

She said: “If I set my mind on something I just do it. I really had nothing there before so I just decided to do it.”

But her surgery almost did not happen when the day before she was due at her Brentford clinic appointment a cyst on her ovary exploded.

She said: “I just couldn’t get up and was in loads of pain. I was rushed to hospital and doctors said it was quite common for women to have cysts. Mine must’ve just been in a painful place.

“It was actually good in a way, because the only bit I was scared about was the drip in my arm and I’d already had one when I was in hospital the day before.”

Miss Forsyth is in the process of setting up her own underwear business but hopes to become a city trader if it does not work out.

She said: “I started my first business three years ago making cards. About a year-and-a-half ago I met my boyfriend who owns a clothing company and met some modelling contacts.

“Then I was approached on Instagram by Front magazine who wanted me to do a bit of modelling.”

The 22-year-old has almost 8,000 followers on Instagram and has been sharing snaps of her new assets with to her growing number of fans.

But she has found there are some downsides to the surgery and, has spent the other £2,000 from her car sale on new clothes to fit her bigger chest.

Boyfriend Ben Stripe is a “big supporter” and loves his girlfriend’s new look, but Miss Forsyth has still not told her mum about the implants.

She said: “I haven’t told my mum yet because I don’t think she would like it too much. When I told her I was thinking about it she was fine at first but then she just kept saying I didn’t need it and I was perfect the way I was.”
