Two pets had a lucky escape when fire ripped through a Weybridge home.
Surrey firefighters were called to a flat in Leavesden Road just before 8pm on Friday, where they found a dog and a parrot trapped inside.
Both animals were rescued without being seriously injuried in the fire, which is believed to have started in the kitchen.
A Surrey fire and rescue spokeswoman said crews from Chertsey, Painshill and Sunbury all attended and the cause of the fire was being investigated.
