A man has denied killing a father-of-four with a suspected drug overdose in Kingston.
Billy Boots, 43, from Teddington, died inside a flat in Perry Court, Old London Road, Kingston in the early hours of Friday, May 16, last year.
He is thought to have died from a suspected drug overdose.
Christopher Brooking, 47, formerly of Perry Court and now of Queen’s Road, Twickenham, appeared at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on Friday.
He denied the single charge of manslaughter, having previously been arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance.
Mr Boots, also known by his given name William, worked as a technician at Teddington Tyres, in Kingston Road, Teddington, but was working for a cleaning company at the time of his death.
Paramedics were called to Perry Court at about 2.30am on Friday, May 16 2014, to reports of a man having a cardiac arrest.
They tried unsuccessfully to save him.
Perry Court is an affordable homes development managed by housing association Paragon.
Mr Brooking will appear at the Old Bailey for his trial on January 4 next year.
