Three men stole an Apple Macbook, a Canon digital camera worth about £4,000 and a wireless speaker from the group as they sat at a park bench eating takeaway food shortly after 11pm, police said.

They had previously been approached by the men for a cigarette and had provided a roll-up and tobacco.

The first man was described as white, about 6ft 1in with dark brown hair, a chubby face and gappy teeth. He was said to be wearing a hoody, dark trousers and black shoes.

The other men were also described as white. One was said to be 5ft 3in tall, with blonde hair, and wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark trousers and trainers.

The third man was said to have black, untidy hair.
