Every dog has its day and on Sunday 50 New Malden pooches had theirs at the annual Malden Fortnight Dog Show.
Left: Jasper the Labradoodle won the fancy dress competition. Right: The egg and spoon race with dogs
All were hoping to win the New Malden Vets Cup and be named Best Dog in New Malden, but only one could take home that honour and the winner was one-year-old Mimi -the Whippet/Jack Russell cross owned by Ruth Vizard.
Runner up was Monty the Miniature Dachshund owned by Yamil Alamiri.
The pair also took home the ‘dog most like its owner’ prize.
For the second year running the most talented dogs were Helen Bannan’s two cross bred Staffordshire Bull Terriers Honey & Stanley.
Jasper the Labradoodle, owned by Abi Slade, won the fancy dress competition in his pirate outfit.
