Do you fancy yourself the next Monty Don or Charlie Dimmock?

Now is your chance to show off your gardening gifts, as Kingston In Bloom returns for 2015.

Awards have been expanded this year, to include gold, silver gilt, silver, and bronze, in a nod to the Hampton Court Palace flower show.

If you think your front garden or container garden is up to scratch - or could even rival that famous display - then get in touch with the judges.

Hannah Neale, from green spaces contractor Quadron Services, said: "We are looking for inspirational gardens that stand out from the crowd.

"This may be due to the unusual plant choice, its environmental stance, sustainability or simply because it bowls you over with wonderful colour or scent.

"Last year’s winning front garden, by Sue and David Taylor in Surbiton, was packed with yuccas, figs, and cordylines, with a grapevine pergola yielding enough sweet tasting grapes for them to share with their neighbours."

All work must be that of the owner. Professionally-landscaped gardens will not be considered.

Rob Waite, from Kingston Council, said: "This year, we want as many people to enter as possible. If anyone out there knows of a front garden that stands out in their street, or if they want to put forward their own, a friend’s or relative’s garden for judging, then it’s easy to do."

Send two images of your garden, along with your contact details and a short paragraph explaining why it deserves to win, to kingston.admin@quadronservices.co.uk or Kingston In Bloom, Quadron Services, Chapel Mill Road, off Villiers Road, Kingston, KT1 3GZ.

The deadline for entries is Friday, July 24. Judges will create a short list and visit those gardens in late July. For more information, call 020 8546 9842.
