Police found five men in the back of a lorry after people heard banging from inside the trailer.

The men were found at Cobham services on the M25 at about 4.30pm on Thursday, April 30.

Surrey Roads Police tweeted: "We are now getting reports of an HGV at Cobham services with people banging from inside the trailer.

"5 men have been arrested as a result of the report of people in the HGV at Cobham services. All arrested for illegal entry to UK."

This is not the first time people have been found at the services and arrested on suspicion of illegal entry.

In March, 17 people were arrested after reports they had jumped out of the back of a lorry.

Previously another 17 people were detained at the services in December, soon after eight people were found in the back of a lorry in East Molesey.

Another lorry driver heard noises coming from the back of his vehicle in September. Police arrested two men and two women.
