A man found carrying noxious liquid in Long Ditton has been fined £100.
Anthony Butler, of St Chads Close, Long Ditton, admitted to the possession of a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of noxious liquid, namely Ortho-chlorobenzylidenemalonontrile, on Friday, November 7, 2014.
At Staines Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 22, in addition to the fine, the 53-year-old was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85 to the prosecution service.
The gas cannister was ordered to be destroyed by Surrey Police.
