Walton, Weybridge & Hersham Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) has received a £27,000 grant to support the services provided to local residents experiencing financial hardship.
The CAB, based at the Elmbridge Community Hub, will get £9,000 a year over a three year period from Walton Charity.
The grant, in addition to a similar sum from Paragon Community Housing, will be used to fund extra hours for the specialist face-to-face money advice and welfare reform services.
Manager Jane Bourgeois said: "The funding will enable the CAB to support approximately 50 more clients with complex casework and will provide residents with a timely and preventative service."
The team of 35 volunteer advisers received 1,400 enquiries relating to debt last year.
The money received from Walton Charity is part of their grants programme to support other local organisations to provide front line services to the local community.
