Bryony Collingwood, Paul Joyce and Darren Flick embarked on the H2H6 challenge on Friday, March 13, to fundraise for the six hospices on the route.

The journey began at Myton Hospice in Rugby and ended at Princess Alice Hospice, Esher, on Tuesday, March 17.

On the fourth day of the challenge, after 100 miles of cycling and three marathon distance runs, the group arrived at Shooting Star Chase and had an ice bath before carrying on to Christopher's Hospice in Guildford.

Mr Joyce, 46, from Tolworth, said: "Despite all adversities, and there were many, we’ve run four marathons and cycled 120 miles in five days for six amazing hospices.

"We couldn’t have done it without everyone who took part, cheered us on and donated - meeting some the hospice staff and affected children and families on our journey really inspired us."

Mike Hey, head of community and challenge events at Shooting Star Chase, said: "To spend five days running four marathons and cycling 120 miles is truly remarkable and Bryony, Paul and Darren should be extremely proud of their amazing achievement.

"I know they have all been touched by the work of the hospices involved - Paul in particular helped establish Shooting Star Hospice in the early days - and we feel honoured to be one of their chosen beneficiaries."
