The parrot was found during a drugs raid in Surbiton
A malnourished parrot has been rescued by police officers searching for drugs in a house in Surbiton.
Officers attended an address in Saint Andrew's Square last week to execute a drugs warrant but found no one home and no drugs on the premise.
Sergeant Dave Williams said: "Officers found the parrot who appeared to be in a bad way and called the RSPCA.
"It wasn't what they were there for but policing is just one of those jobs that can throw anything your way."
