The petition containing 1,088 signatures against Walton Charity's third application to build offices on its land in Severn Drive, Walton, has been handed in to the council.
It was given to Ray Lee, director of strategy at Elmbridge Council, on Thursday, December 19.
It was spearheaded by Mick Flannigan, of Rydens Road, Walton, and he was accompanied by some supporting campaigners, including Councillor Andrew Kelly, Councillor Christine Elmer and Alfie Brown, an Instagram famous dog reported to have enjoyed many walks on the land proposed to be built on.
