Surrey police have launched a search for a Walton man after two people were found dead in Fetcham.

Another man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the deaths on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder at a home in Walton.

Police investigating a double murder want to speak to Viktoras Bruzas after a man and woman were found by a neighbour in The Copse in Fetcham at 12.30am this morning with serious injuries, believed to be stab wounds.

They man and woman, in their 50s, were pronounced dead.

They have since been named locally as Patrick and Gillian Kettyle.

Surrey Police say Mr Bruzas, 38, from Walton, is believed to be driving a black Mercedes registration AU11 WJY.

Officers think he is likely to be in Sussex but say he also has connections to Surrey and South East London.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Preston, said: "This is a tragic incident where two people have lost their lives and our thoughts are with their family at this extremely difficult time.

"We are still in the very early stages of the investigation but we need to trace Viktoras Bruzas as a matter of urgency. I would urge members of the public not to approach him but to call Surrey Police immediately if they know his whereabouts."

Lusine Morris, 33, lived next door to Mr Bruzas and his wife in Terrace Road, Walton, for six years.

She said: “He was a very nice guy. He was very shy and a very good guy so I am very shocked to hear this. He was very polite.

“He was married with a child – they used to come to us a lot. I used to be more friends with his wife and then they split up.

“It must be about six years we lived next door. I have been here for eight years and then they moved a couple of years ago.

“They are now divorced – his wife still lives in Walton with the son. He was a builder and kept coming back to the area.

“I am shocked [about the police appeal] – it is unbelievable. I just can’t believe it. I am shocked because he had come into our home. He would knock and I’d let him in and you wouldn’t think twice.

“This guy, he was one that you wouldn’t mind leaving your kids with. He seemed like such a nice guy.”
