More than 90 people travelled to the Tower of London to visit the poppy installation.
Supported by the RC Sherriff Trust, the trips on October 21 and 22 took place as part of the council arts and culture programme.
The installation is made up of a field of 888,246 ceramic poppies representing a British death.
One visitor said it was a sight she would never forget, and Councillor Mary Sheldon, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said: "I was pleased that the poppy trip was so well attended by our local residents."
The Tower will host the exhibition until November 11, when the last poppy is laid out.
