Narnia never looked so good.

Kingston College production arts students put their learning to good use by making up the cast of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe for a photoshoot with Time & Leisure magazine.

The Rose Theatre’s Christmas show is directed by Ciaran McConville, who said: “They were professional and a real help to us.

"Our youth theatre members were thrilled to be working with college students.”

Student Natasha Harwood said: “I got to work behind the scenes of a trailer, which I have never done before, and learned a lot about working on set.

"The photoshoot was a really good experience for me as well, as I got to work in a different environment to what I have done before.”

Meanwhile, Kingston developers CNM Estates has announced a new sponsorship deal with the Rose which will see the firm help fund the theatre's Christmas shows until 2018.

The company, a founding sponsor of the High Street venue, has backed the shows with a £100,000 grant.

The deal begins with this year’s production, and CNM Estates chairman Wahid Samady said: "The Rose has produced wonderful and world class entertainment and has had over 700,000 visits since its opening.

"An enormous achievement, which the Rose and Kingston can be very proud of."

Rose chief execuitive Robert O’Dowd said: “It is vital for us, in this challenging funding climate, to establish and nurture a range of funding sources to help the Rose become more self-sufficient.”

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe runs from Sunday, November 30, until Sunday, January 4, 2015. Tickets are on sale now.
