Students in Elmbridge are celebrating after collecting their A-level results this morning.
Pupils from across the borough visited their schools and colleges for one last time today to open their results envelopes and find out whether they got the grades they needed to get into their chosen universities.
Heathside school in Weybridge has achieved a 99 per cent pass rate for the third consecutive year, with the number of A* grades increasing.
Of the school's passes, 87.4 per cent were A* to C grades.
Principal Anne Cullum said: "There are excellent results and are a reflection of the hard work our students and the support that our parents have given to them over the last two years.
"This year, students are faced with extreme competition for university places and these successes will ensure that the vast majority of our students will gain entry into their first choice of university.
"They demonstrate the professionalism and dedication of our superb staff in enabling our students to achieve and sustain such high standards."
Among the school's top achievers was Sam Gallagher, 18, who achieved 3 A*'s in maths, chemistry and biology and will now be studying medicine at the University of Exeter.
Isabel Cushing, 18, secured a place to study history and Spanish at Oxford University after achieving A*'s in English and history and A's in maths and Spanish.
