A man has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a car ploughed through a wall in New Malden.
Police were called to reports of the crash at 5.42am on Friday.
They found the silver Volkswagen Polo empty, but found the young man nearby and arrested him.
No further details of the man were available.
The crash happened at the junction of Elm Road and Kingston Road in New Malden, leaving the Volkswagen's bonnet and radiator smashed.
Debris was thrown several yards from the wall in the impact.
The driver of the car is understood not to have sustained serious injuries.
