The green-fingered former landlady of Kingston's greenest pub has had a new flower named after her.
Janet Turnes, who stepped down from the Wych Elm in June alongside husband Manuel, was surprised with the honour during her volunteer work at Hampton Court Palace.
She said: "It's lovely - I was absolutely flabbergasted. It hasn't really sunk in."
The single-flowering dahlia, named Janet's Pride by pub company Fuller's, will be good for bees, she added.
