Music, entertainment and 275 rowing races are planned for the festival on the stretch from Charter Quay to Eagle Brewery Wharf on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 7pm.

The regatta, which has run for more than 150 years, will be hosted by the Kingston Rowing Club and is set to attract crews from across the country.

A free ferry service will run from Minima Yacht Club between the Richmond and Kingston sides of the river and a live regatta commentary will be available.

Activities on the river will continue to be in full swing next weekend with the dragon boat races organised by Kingston Rotary Club.
