Police made an arrest last night in the investigation into a theft at Ernest Jones jewellers in Kingston.
Officers had wanted to speak to Germain Ibrahim Fofana, a 27-year-old French national, after a photo believed to be him was found on a mobile phone left in the store after a raid.
An estimated £18,000 worth of rings were stolen from the Clarence Street store on Sunday, May 18.
Mr Fofana was arrested at 6.05pm last night in Peckham High Street on suspicion of theft.
