A mosaic unveiled on the 10th anniversary of arts group Fusion Arts has been damaged.

The installation, outside the group's headquarters in Eden Street, had been in place for just weeks before its demise.

Artist Ann Bubis said said she thought late-night passers-by had caused the damage.

She added: "It took me two months to create and make. It's sad because they've taken the creative ideas away.

"Some of it was done by children - they were the starting point. There's lots of stories about Kingston.

"It would be nice if we were a bit more of a caring society."
