UPDATE: Merseyside Police have confirmed Mr Haskayne, 75, was found "in the London area" earlier today after last being seen at home in Meols on Saturday.

Police in Merseyside have appealed for help finding a 75-year-old man missing from the Meols area.

It is thought that Trevor Haskayne, last seen by family on Saturday, may have traveled by train to visit family in Kingston.

A Metropolitan Police statement said: "Trevor's family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for him as his disappearance is out of character and he has never been reported as missing before."

Mr Haskayne is white, 5ft 7in, of slim build and has grey hair and tanned skin.

He may be carrying a navy blue case with brown handles, and wearing a watch with a snakeskin strap.

Anyone with information should call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2081, or Missing People on 116 000.
