Charity workers put their best feet forward this week to promote an online campaign raising money for street children in sub- Saharan Africa.
Staff from Street Child Africa, based in Thames Ditton, kicked off their shoes and donned foot-shaped costumes to promote the charity’s Barefoot Friday Twitter campaign, which is taking place today.
The charity is asking people to tweet a “footsie” – a picture of their bare feet alongside the hashtag #footsie and a donation of £3, which will buy a child a pair of shoes.
Street Child Africa’s head of fundraising Sheila Lutchanah and corporate manager Gemma Shaw visited the Bentalls department store in Kingston dressed as giant feet on Tuesday.

Miss Lutchanah said: "People absolutely love Street Child Africa's #footsie campaign for barefootfriday.
"They all had a good laugh at the sight of two giant feet walking around Bentalls and the town center, we certainly got a lot of attention.
"Lots of people commented that they really liked the fun side of the campaign.
"The campaign has been launched by Street Child Africa on the lead up to summer, when people are getting ready to have their feet out, to help raise money so that they can reach the 100,000 children that live and work on the streets in the cities of the six African countries in which they work."
Street Child Africa supports Street Children in Zambia, Ghana, Mozambique, Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
To donate, text STREET to 70660, and share your footsie photos by tweeting @StreetChildAfri with the hashtag #footsie and #BareFootFriday.
