The A3 has been closed between Tolworth and Hook after two incidents and a skip on fire.
Surrey Police tweeted at 4.51pm: "#A3 N/B Hook/Tolworth CLOSED x2 collisions and a skip on the back of a lorry on fire! Assisting Metpol. Traffic building #avoid"

The A3 Kingston by-pass is currently closed n/b at A243 Hook Rise due to a vehicle fire, seek alternative route.

It is understood that one of the accidents is a motorbike crash near Tolworth with a person being treated.
A witness to the aftermath said: "All I could see was the bare legs and I got to guess it was a woman. I could see L plates."
He said: "The other incident was a bit closer to the Ace of Spades northbound, a skip caught fire. It is being towed and the Fire Brigade came."

Two lanes on the A3 were also closed this morning after an accident at New Malden.
