A man has died after he was hit by a motorcycle on Saturday morning.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service to Streatham High Road junction with Mitcham Lane at 6.30am on Saturday 31 May following a road traffic collision between a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.
Police attended the scene and found both men suffering serious injuries.
The pedestrian and motorcyclist - both men believed to be aged in their 30s - were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service.
The pedestrian died at the scene a short while later.
The motorcyclist has been taken to a South London hospital in a serious but stable condition. He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, police said on Saturday afternoon.
Police said enquiries are continuing.
