A man has died of a suspected drugs overdose in Kingston town centre.
Paramedics were called to Perry Court, in Old London Road, at 12.30am today, May 16.
A man, aged 43, was reported to be in cardiac arrest and despite ambulance crews' attempts to resuscitate him, he died at the scene.
A 46-year-old man from Kingston has been arrested on suspicion of administering a noxious substance.
A Kingston police spokesman said: "Police were called to Perry Court, Old London Road, Kingston, by London Ambulance Service on May 16 at 12.30am, stating they had a male in cardiac arrest following a drugs overdose.
"London Ambulance Service performed CPR on the victim, a 43-year-old male.
"This was unsuccessful and LAS pronounced life extinct at the scene."
The suspect has been been bailed to return to Kingston police station on July 4, he added.
